Meraloma Rugby is deeply saddened to announce the sudden and tragic passing of Men's player Daniel Wigley.

Dan was a core part of the Loma Men's Premier team in recent seasons, and his warm and wonderful nature quickly made him a beloved member of the Meraloma family. A class act and a fantastic, honest rugby player, Wigs also represented B.C. and Vancouver. He is gone far too soon and will be immensely missed by all who knew him.

We send our most heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends back home in Wales, here in Vancouver, and around the world.

A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held in the Meraloma Clubhouse tomorrow, Thursday, September 16 at 6:00pm. All who knew Wigs are invited to come pay tribute to a giant of a man.

Rest In Peace, Dan.
