Meraloma Field Hockey
We will have three teams in the Vancouver Women's League (V.W.F.H.A.) for the 2024-25 season. There are seven divisions in the league and our teams range from Division 1 to Division 4. We are a great group of women that like to have a good time. Sound good? We are always looking for new members, so come on out to join us (females 13+ welcome)!
2024-25 Season
During the season (September to March) our teams practice on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Eric Hamber Field, a water-based astro turf. Games are held on Saturdays and Sundays at fields throughout Metro Vancouver.
We are still accepting new players for our Division 1, Division 3 and Division 4 teams so please get in touch if you are interested in joining us.
Pre-season Social & Fitness sessions
Come join us at Connaught Park, the home of the Meraloma Club, to get back into the swing of things ahead of the upcoming season. These sessions are designed for athletes of all fitness levels, and will have an emphasis on fun and social connection! The Meraloma Clubhouse will be open, so feel free to stay for a drink after the session.

Please meet on the grass field at the north side of the park (W. 10th Ave.), just east of the Meraloma Clubhouse.
Player Placement Night
New and returning players are encouraged to attend! We will use this practice session to find a good fit for all players in the club, with the goal of confirming our team rosters ahead of the season.

Meraloma Field Hockey History
Field hockey was first added to the Meraloma Club in 1974 with one team. Almost 50 years later, we are still competing in the Vancouver Women's League and our club has grown to teams. Most of our members are between the ages of 20 and 60. We absolutely enjoy the energy and enthusiasm that our junior players bring to the turf but also appreciate the skill and knowledge of our seasoned veterans. Each member joins the club for various reasons including exercise and the love of the game. Most have become long-standing members in the Club because of the fun we have on and off the field.
